FHE at the Steed's

We started using the Articles of Faith for our Family Home Evening lessons and trying to learn them. This week we were doing the second AOF , which states, "We believe that men will be punished for their own sins, and not for Adam's transgression." I decided to leave Emma in charge of running a production of the story of Adam and Eve. Emma wanted it to be an authentic depiction and asked to dress au naturel. I insisted more lessons would be learned clothed. Emma left an apple on a tree she built as props but Andrew (who had no part) partook of the forbidden fruit before we could even get started. Then we tried to learn the article of faith. Emma tried whispering the words into Weston's ear but Weston misunderstanding and totally straight-faced recited "We believe that Emma should be punished."

That is SO funny! That's just one of the reasons that FHE is great!

Ha! I love this story!

Such a classic FHE moment. . .
We've been learning the articles of faith too - it's not going well. My kids mix up the words and thus have been reciting A LOT of false doctrine around here.
